The Krix KA-1100 is a purpose-built subwoofer amplifier, designed and engineered in Australia to maximise the performance of Krix passive subwoofers. Built in-house from the ground up, this dual-mono amplifier delivers high output, precise control, and exceptionally low distortion for demanding home cinema systems.

Unlike generic amplifiers, the KA-1100 is specifically tuned for Krix subwoofer systems. Integrated DSP modes ensure optimal performance, protecting the driver while preserving full dynamic range and impact.

Optimised DSP for Krix Subwoofers

The KA-1100 features pre-configured DSP modes tailored for Krix MX-5, MX-10, Cyclonix 11 and Cyclonix 12 subwoofers. Each mode applies carefully engineered high-pass filters, low-pass filters, and limiter settings to maximise output while maintaining control and reliability.

A third mode is available for general subwoofer applications, providing flexibility for non-Krix systems while still benefiting from built-in protection and filtering.

If the input signal exceeds the safe operating limits of the subwoofer, soft limiting is applied. This reduces distortion and prevents damage without introducing harsh compression or audible artefacts.

The KA-1100 is a true dual-mono amplifier, allowing independent control of two subwoofer channels. This ensures precise level matching and optimal system integration, particularly in multi-subwoofer home cinema environments.

At the core of the KA-1100 is a Krix-designed 24-bit signal processor. This DSP platform manages filtering, limiting, and system protection, ensuring accurate signal reproduction and optimal subwoofer performance.

Flexible Connectivity and Integration

The KA-1100 supports both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs, making it compatible with a wide range of AV receivers and processors. A single input mode allows one signal to be distributed to both channels when required.

Signal sensing enables automatic power-on when audio is detected, while a 12V trigger input allows seamless integration with dedicated home cinema systems.

Silent Operation — Fanless Design
